The “unknown god” of the Romans

In Acts chapter 17, Paul spoke to the Romans about Jesus using an example from their own culture.

Acts 17:23
For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. Now what you worship as something unknown I am going to proclaim to you.

Coming in February we are planning to do a similar event where we draw from the Roman lore of Cupid to talk about the love of God, and the love that Jesus taught about. We have some fun and frivolous things planned that relate to the American rendition of Valentine’s day.  We hope the silly things we have implemented will make you laugh and bring joy to your day.  We also have some serious content planned talking about the love of God as it is explained in the Bible.  Jesus offers every person who believes in Him a healing kind of love that lasts forever. This is the message we want to share with you.

We had some fun with Christmas. We’re still making progress working on the core design of Visions: quests, professions, skills, recipes, and all that. But while the programmers are working hard at creating that complicated content, the artists and worldbuilders have been putting together these fun events for our Alpha testers to play with until we get the core content built in the new Bigworld engine. We hope that this “Cupid’s Feast” event is as much fun as the Christmas event was. Come play with us and find out!
